🎮 Controller Setup Guide
If your controller doesn't respond when RetroArch boots, it may need manual mapping. Here's how to configure it for browser play.
🕹️ Step 1: Test Your Controller
After RetroArch boots, press buttons on your controller. If nothing responds, continue below.
🧭 Step 2: Open the Mapping Menu
At the top of the screen, you'll see:
Controls | Saves | States | Screenshots | More | Menu | Pause
Click Menu → hover over QUICK MENU → click Main Menu.
⚙️ Step 3: Navigate to Input Settings
- Click Settings
- Click Input
- Click Port 1 Controls
🎯 Step 4: Assign Buttons
Click each button label (e.g. B) and press the desired controller button within 5 seconds.

💾 Step 5: Save Your Mapping
Go back to Input and click Save Autoconfig.
Note: In browser mode, mappings may not persist across sessions.
🧪 Step 6: Test in Game
Launch NHL 95 and confirm your inputs work. Repeat steps if needed.
